New Restaurants in Birmingham: Coming Soon
Any fans of Thai food still reeling from the closure of Thai Edge in Brindleyplace will be excited about the opening of Siamais at the beginning of April.
The new Thai restaurant is adding 'cocktail bar' to its repertoire as not only will it boast 100 covers, but will also house a 60-seat bar with separate entrances and a curtain dividing the two.
Set to open in May after closing for renovation in 2015, Primitivo is back with a bang.
The Mediterranean restaurant will be around 1,000 sq ft larger, with 40 covers and a bigger bar.
If you liked it before, you'll probably love it now.
Located in Selfridges food hall, Izza! is the next venture for the award-winning Lasan group.
Offering thin-crust pizzas baked in a beech-wood fired oven and a selection of cured meats and artisan breads, it's a step away from their roots in Indian and Asian cuisine.
Boasting an extensive menu focussing on Argentinian food and drink, Gaucho will be opening its doors on 55 Colmore Row on 8th May.
Though famed for its steak, Gaucho will be offering homemade sauages, fish and seafood, and a choice of over 200 Argentinian wines.
A new pintxos bar opening this April, with a particular emphasis on simple, but super fresh ingredients.
Pintxos are a speciality of Spain's Basque region. The small snacks consist of bread topped with any combination of ingredients and pierced with a skewer.
The new spot offers a modest permanent menu, but lots of daily specials depending on what ingredients are to hand every day.
We're hoping Pintxos will be vibrant, diverse, and a little bit different on every visit.
The Charter Rooms
The long-awaited Victorian themed bar is set to open its doors in Birmingham early this year.
Specialising in classic and bespoke cocktails, as well as boasting a gin school, The Charter Rooms will be opening inside The Great Western Arcade off Colmore Row.
Jackson & Rye
What was once Serenity beauty salon is now Jackson and Rye, a brand new American diner.
With six established venues in and around London, it was only a matter of time before the all-American eatery decided to take on the Birmingham food scene.
Serving burgers, ribs and fried chicken, Jackson and Rye will certainly give Birmingham another taste of American flavour.
Enjoy trying out these new restaurants in Birmingham... And stay tuned for more.
