Job summary

Dine Birmingham is looking for a creative, motivated and social media savvy person with great writing skills to come on board.

This part-time role will provide a wealth of experience including the opportunity to have your work published online regularly.

An interest in food and drink will come in handy, but you don’t need to be an expert.

This position is ideal for a current student interested in media, marketing or publishing.

Minimum qualifications

5 GCSEs A* - C including English

Previous experience

Some experience of running a blog, writing for a publication or managing a social media account would be beneficial.

Key responsibilities

Creating and editing online content including:

  • News and event articles
  • Advertising content
  • Original features

Managing social media accounts

  • Creating and scheduling posts
  • Growing audience size and engagement

Taking part in creative brainstorming

Essential skills

  • Strong writing ability
  • Confident and competent using social media

You also need to:

  • Be creative
  • Have good organisation and time management
  • Pay attention to detail
  • Be ready to learn new skills
