A brand new rooftop whisky bar is set to open on the 25th floor of The Cube.
With just 36 seats and breathtaking views of the City, Haig Club Bar will be an exclusive spot for serious whisky drinkers.
Whisky, whisky, and more whisky
Only Haig Club and Haig Clubman whisky will be served, along with an extensive selection whisky cocktails. The bar plans to be table-service only, and will be the first of its kind in the UK.
Jack Spencer, who was previously head barman at Bourne and Co, will be moving to Haig Club, and he's already created 22 exciting whisky cocktails to try.
The choice to open their first permanent bar in Birmingham comes after Haig Whisky opened pop-up bars in Manchester and Singapore.
Birmingham boasted a city full of whisky lovers, and The Cube offered a previously little-used area of the Marco Pierre White bar that fit the bill.
Haig Club bottles will be sold at the bar, and rather than taking them home, drinkers and diners will have the option to leave their bottle behind the bar with a special name tag, allowing them to pop in for a few drinks whenever they like.
There's also a food menu...
A carefully crafted food menu has also been tailored to complement the Whisky, with dishes like Iberico ham and dijon croquettes, and black pudding bon bons, with homemade brown sauce and patatas bravas, being served.
If it's good enough for Becks, it's good enough for us...
David Beckham, as the face of Haig Club, opened the Haig Club pop-up bar in Manchester in December 2016. He was also spotted in the Bullring last year whilst promoting the Haig Clubman whisky. We can only hope that we might run into him at The Cube whilst enjoying a whisky once the rooftop bar has opened!
So if whisky is your tipple of choice and exclusive rooftop bars are your style, Haig Club Bar is certainly a venue to look forward to.
Haig Club Bar is expected to open soon, but no official opening date has been announced yet.
